Day 01: Arrival at New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra - Darjeeling
When you arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our travel executive. You’ll then be journeyed to Darjeeling. Here, a check in at the hotel will be made. Thereafter, you can freshen up, enjoy the delicious dinner and doze off for the night.
Day 02: Darjeeling
On the second day of the tour, you’ll rise early to view the sunrise from Tiger Hill. A short halt will be made at Batasia view point while returning to the hotel. After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of Darjeeling will follow. Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Everest Museum, Japanese Temple - Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing - Gombu Rock and Tea Garden are the most visited places of this striking hill station. Return to the hotel will be by noon, after which you are free to spend the rest of the day at leisure or shopping at The Mall. A toy train ride will also be highly appreciated. Do give it a try! Dig into a delectable dinner and head for restful sleep.
Day 03: Darjeeling - Kalimpong
After having breakfast, you’ll proceed towards Kalimpong, a hill station in the Mahabharata Range. An hour’s journey will land you at Kalimpong. A check in at the hotel will be followed by a local city tour. Forest Museum, Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham Homes School, Durpin Monastery, Mangaldham and Pine View Nurseries are the most popularly visited destinations. Return to the hotel in the evening for night stay.
Day 04: Kalimpong - Gangtok
Early in the morning, you’ll travel to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. By afternoon, you’ll reach Gangtok. Make a check in at the hotel when you reach. Soon after, a day tour will be made. You’ll be visiting Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul-Chorten (Stupa) and Orchid Sanctuary. To spend the night, you’ll come back to the hotel.
Day 05: Gangtok
In the morning, you’ll depart for a day excursion to Changu Lake and Baba Mandir, built in the memory of Baba Harbhajan Singh at an altitude of 1,32,000 feet. Changu is a glacial lake in East Sikkim, which can best be visited during the months from May through August. You’ll also visit Baba Mandir, believed to possess supernatural stories behind its existence. The day will end with a drive back to the hotel for dinner and sleepover.
Day 06: Gangtok - New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra Departure
Early in the morning after breakfast, you’ll be dropped at your respective departing junctions. For air travel, you’ll be transferred to Bagdogra Airport; while for train journey, you’ll be driven to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
