Day 01: Arrival at New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra - Darjeeling
As soon as you arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative who’ll escort you to Darjeeling. Upon reaching, a check-in at the hotel will be made. This will be followed by a freshening up session and a delicious meal. Night stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Darjeeling
Rise up early in the morning to visit one of the major attractions of Darjeeling. A drive to the Tiger Hill will allow you to witness the mesmerizing sunrise. You’ll then be driven to Batasia view point on your way back to the hotel. After breakfast, get ready for a city tour. Major stops will be the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Everest Museum, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing - Gombu Rock, Japanese Temple - Peace Pagoda and tea gardens. Return back in the afternoon and spend the time at leisure. As an alternate, you can go for shopping at the Mall or enjoy a toy train ride. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Darjeeling - Gangtok
After a flavorsome breakfast at the hotel, you’ll leave for Gangtok, sited at a distance of about 114 km. Make a check-in at the hotel when you reach and freshen up for an afternoon sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Major highlights will include the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul-Chorten (Stupa) and Orchid Sanctuary. After having dinner in one of the best restaurants, you’ll return to the hotel for sleepover.
Day 04: Gangtok
The fourth day of the tour will be spent in one day excursion to the high altitude Changu Lake and sacred Baba Mandir (Memorial of Baba Harbhajan Singh). Post an early morning breakfast, you’ll be driven to this eastern part of Sikkim. Upon arriving, you’ll visit the beautiful glacial lake - Changu Lake. Capture the frozen moments of your travel and head towards the famous Baba Mandir. The temple lies close to Nathula Pass. It is one of the most cherished sites in Sikkim. It is believed that the Baba lost his life at an early age while serving the Indian Army and continues to do the same as a camp bed and shoes are placed next to his shrine. Return back to the hotel in the evening to spend the night.
Day 05: Gangtok - New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra Departure
Spend the morning at your disposal after a gorgeous breakfast. Thereafter, you’ll be dropped at your respective stop to catch the train or flight for onward journey.
